You must live in the county for three months before filing for a divorce.
What if I have moved counties, but want to file immediately?
You must live in the county for three months before filing. If you have not lived in the county for three months and wish to file immediately, you can file for legal separation, then file an amended petition for divorce in the county in which you live once you have lived there for the required three months.
